Van Evan Fuller

This picture was conceived as an illustration from Homer's Odyssey, complete with an ancient Greek sailing ship and possibly a temple or garden. Another artist persuaded me to leave the landscape unembellished, and today I think the picture gains an air of mystery from its simplicity.

I still call it an illustration from the Odyssey; but whatever happened here is past, and the participants have moved on. So far, this picture has probably provoked more comment than anything else in the gallery.
