This piece came from my grandfather's estate - a piece of history, 139 years old, complete with original signatures of the President, Emmons Blaine, and the Secretary, Lewis Hancock, of the Institute of 1770. The red seal is intact, although it has some cracking, and the paper is pushed down where the seal is. The paper has some water damage around the edges, minimal foxing and a few places where the paper has darkened. The back is covered by 3 wood panels and written there in pencil, it says November 1st, 1876. Considering its age, this is in incredibly good condition. Framed with gilded insert and glass. AMAZING!
