Lambertville, NJ, March 24, 2010 Artspan, the leading provider of individual artist, artisan and photographer websites, today announced that it will acquire nearly 800 new members from e-commerce art-site Boundless Gallery, which has ceased operations. Artspan is a major portal to the world of contemporary art, featuring nearly 3,500 artist web sites in 18 different categories, including painters, photographers, jewelers and sculptors, among many others, and can be visited at www.artspan.com.

We are delighted to welcome Boundless Gallery members to our community, said Artspan Founder and CEO, Eric Sparre. This surge in new members arrives with perfect timing as Artspan enters into a year of expansion, increased offerings and growth.

Under the terms of the agreement, Artspan will honor the dollar value of existing Boundless Gallery member contracts as of February 28, 2010, the date on which the e-commerce site and provider of artist web sites ceased operations. 

Boundless Gallery members will receive full-featured Artspan websites at no cost, in some cases for up to a year or more. Upon approval from the individual Boundless Gallery members, Artspan will import images and data from the individual Boundless Gallery websites to their new Artspan websites.

With the addition of these new members, we will provide an even stronger lineup of artists and artwork to the many visitors and collectors who have come to depend on us for the best in contemporary art," Sparre added.

Artspan is a major art destination, consistently ranked in the top two results for the term Contemporary Art by Google and Yahoo. In addition, Artspan provides varied searches and directories as well as a new prints-on-demand feature allowing visitors to size and mat artwork, which is subsequently shipped to them.
