By popular demand, we've added a new scrolling option for your gallery thumbnails: in the "Design Themes" section of your Control Panel, when you select the third tab "Gallery Display Options" you will now see two styles of the thumbnail scrolling available. The first is the buttonless scrolling which advances the thumbnails in a sliding fashion based on mouse movement. The new option alls the viewer to control thumbnail scrolling by clicking on a right or left arrow button.

On or about April 17, There will be some very minor changes in the membership plans offered to new members. “Professional” plans will now be called “Standard,” and “Professional Plus” members will be, simply, “Professional” members.
There will also be a change in Basic membership, but ONLY for new members. The new Basic sites will allow 15 images instead of the current 12, and the pricing will be slightly higher. If a current or ‘old’ Basic member wants to upgrade to the new Basic membership, they will be able to do so once the new membership levels take effect.
Rowena Rubio
Photography
In between walks in the rain and avoiding the distraction of the television, Rowena releases her creative energy by taking self-portraits with a camera that remains constantly ready on its tripod perch. While struggling with the difficulties of focus and timing involved in photographing her self-portraits, Rowena hopes to strike an emotional chord with the result. She aims to “transmit a certain mood, a certain atmosphere and a certain ideato evoke emotions, to make one stare, linger and wonder, to question.”
Rowena, a current resident of New York City, has a background in Art History from Fordham University as well as in Black and White Photography from the School of Visual Arts.
Judith Monroe
Mixed Media
judithmonroe.artspan.com
Judith’s mixed media pieces begin with black and white photography as a stand-in for the physical world, onto which the artist adds collage, color, and text, gradually coating her pieces with spiritual meaning. She has been experimenting and perfecting this art form for twenty-five years, while mixing in life and gaining experience along the way.
As Judith relates on her site, “...the resulting landscape imagery is reminiscent of her personal journal pages, with dominating photos that bleed into abstracted landscapes of color and texture; hidden treasures of text and sketches wait for the viewer to discover them.”
Judith’s work can be found in a number of California art galleries.
