mima is a bold new gallery of modern and contemporary art designed by Erick van Egeraat Associated Architects.
The gallery brings together the town's art collections for the first time. mima hosts temporary exhibitions of fine art and craft from 1900 to now. Featuring the work of internationally acclaimed artists, the programme includes painting, drawing, ceramics, jewellery design, sound, film, mixed media, photography and sculpture. Exhibitions change every quarter.
The Saatchi Gallery
The Saatchi Gallery is a London gallery for contemporary art, opened by Charles Saatchi in 1985 in order to show his sizeable (and changing) collection to the public. It has occupied different premises, first in North London, then the South Bank by the River Thames and Chelsea (opening to the public in 2008).

The guiding policy at the Lost Gallery is simply stated: it is to show works by Scottish modern artists who most excite the owners, artist Peter Goodfellow and his wife Jean.
Today, the Lost Gallery is one of the most interesting and unusual venues in Northern Scotland, with an excitingly eclectic selection of paintings, sculpture and photography. The Goodfellows' association with the Scottish Sculpture Workshop provides access to large scale international and domestic sculpture.

Tate Modern is the national gallery of international modern art. Located in London, it is one of the family of four Tate galleries which display selections from the Tate Collection.
