Sea of Tranquility or Do You Really Like It like That

In this mixed media painting a Samurai Warrior leans forward as he reaches for his sword. He is surrounded by a background of smoke and destruction as aliens fly around him. The wood panel contains motion activated lights and two videos installed at the bottom of the panel. I am hoping to raise the question about our innate nature toward violence. The video is a montage of bizarre imagery at a fast pace spliced into a clip of a South Texas flea market.
