Colorado Landscape Archival Pigment Print on Archival Polar Pearl Metallic stock Unframed Limited edition of 20 I do not use third party printers Archival pigment printing is a printmaking process using pure particles of pigment that resist the environmental factors that degrade other forms of ink. Using these pigments provides for image stability, and is now recognized as better than traditional silver-halide or metal-based techniques for retaining image integrity. Archival pigments provide a very wide color range. The professional Epson printers and pigments I employ include previously hard to archive shades. The quality of pigments is also dependent on the material to which it is applied. It is as important to the image quality as the ink when print life is a concern. Exposing an image with non-archival paper to external environmental pollutants will break down the pigments. I use archival Red River art paper. It is considered to be the finest artist quality paper available for this purpose. Your investment in my work is very important to me.
