Venice

18 x 24 inches, acrylics mixed media on cradled wooden board
This work and " Nice" have a very deep personal meaning for me. Few years ago I visited Venice and one of my favorite things in the city was the dragon lantern on one of the busiest corners. I looked at it for a long time and it inspired me. I bought a newspaper the day we were there and I collaged pieces of it as a base for the painting. I want to make a whole series in the future, featuring different European candelabras.
