Tree of Kintsugi

Kintsugi is a Japanese philosophy which regards breakage and repair as part of the history of an object that makes it beautiful, rather than something to disguise. This tree that I found along the San Andreas fault line embodies this. Colored pencil on Stonehenge paper. Award for Outstanding Achievement, CPSA International Exhibition, Tacoma, WA, 2016 Included in "CP Treasures, Vol. 4" from Ann Kullberg, 2016
