Fishing Cabin On Caddo Lake

Rod Carver Photography Rod Carver Photography

Caddo Lake is considered to be Texas' only natural lake, likely formed by a massive log jamb called the "Great Raft", which began to form as early as the 12th century. At its peak in the 1830s, it extended some 160 miles up the Red River. The lake (the second largest in the south) extends across the Texas-Louisiana border. Huge bald cypress hung with Spanish moss, a tangle of aquatic plant life, along with alligators and other wildlife inhabit its dark waters, giving it an almost spiritual quality. This cabin is in Uncertain, Texas, and is still used periodically by fishermen always hopeful for that once-in-a-lifetime strike. Image size is 8 1/8 x 12 1/2 inches. Dimensions below are overall size, including mat or mat and frame.
