Curiosity killed the cat. At least that is the story being told here. The conjoined twin cat articulation here is representative of the last two lives of a poor, unfortunate cat. Each head is marked with the life it represents. 9 died choking on a mouse (whose skeleton can be seen through the picture frame sternum) and 8 just couldn’t keep the electrical cords out of its mouth. You can only imagine what happened to 7-1.
This piece is playful and made from copper and bone. It is set on a cabinet door adorned with decorative feet with artificial flowers that play off of the copper used in the articulation.
