DD060216 Scale transformation with an origin point at the vertical bisection obscured and reinforced by a pink and dark grey painterly incident #1

Acrylic on canvas 2016 Teaching 2d/3d design and animation using the computer I often talk about transformation properties (position, rotation and scale) with my students. The title, while certainly tongue-in-cheek, does give insight into the development of this composition. The foreground shape which is partially covered over with pink and dark grey was split at the halfway point vertically and the lower portion was scaled down.
