Acrylic on canvas 2017 What appears as grey in the photograph is in fact silver paint that dynamically shimmers as the viewer changes the angle of view in relation to the canvas. This activates the painting while underling the fact–although the work was developed with the help of digital tools–the importance of the viewers’ relationship with an actual physical object that was made by hand and is imbued with a human touch. The pixelated lines were created and used for an earlier painting. I find it really interesting that middle two seem to mimic the shape of the scraped white paint. This was completely unintentional.
