The Lady of Shallot

The Lady of Shallot, “ I’m sick of shadows” referenced from Alfred’s Tennyson’s poem ‘The Lady of Shallot (digital painting) “Alfred Lord Tennyson's four-part poem 'The Lady of Shalott' tells the story of a young medieval woman mysteriously imprisoned on an island near Camelot. She must weave a colorful web and only watch the outside world through a mirror. The painting explains her feelings of ‘sickness’ from weaving shadows and lies, which is why I exaggerated the colors in the weaves on her left from whats truly outside the window
