This is a master of ikebana, Japanese flower arranging. The school he taught was the oldest and most traditional called, Ikenobo. The man is Shuji Ikeda and he is a superb crafter of vases. He was featured a few years ago in San Francisco Bay Area Public Television program, SPARK. He was my teacher's teacher
