“Beaver Grass”, Frontier Art Series. Beaver Grass was a useful tool for Longhunters. Not only was it a refuge for game animals to be hunted, but it also was a defensive measure for a Longhunter needing to conceal himself from Native Americans. The Beaver Grass would grow quite tall along the rivers and creeks. It was also quite dense, so it was hard to move through. Because it was so dense it would act as both a blind and would slow any pursuers down.
