Using hand dyed tissue papers in layers this painting became an expression of my sorrow and hope during the early days of President Trumps separation of children from their families at the U.S. southwestern border. Everyone's heart is glowing, the parent's mouths are wide open with their pain and outrage; the children all have their eyes open in witness. The blue bird of freedom and hope is my prayer that they will find peace and security again. It was a painting that evolved into itself; it certainly didn't want to go the way I'd first envisioned it! Original is SOLD, ARCHIVIAL MUSEUM QUALITY PRINTS are available on canvas.
