"Shards in the Sand"

PrestonDuwyenie.com
This artist is a member of SWAIA.org South Western Association for Indian Arts
"Shifting Sands Series" hand built with Native clay from the Hopi Reservation. These silver inlays represent the water symbols painted on the shards such as clouds, rain, water waves, that I have found in the sand dunes.

This is also a depiction of land and water. The inlay of precious metal represents the preciousness of water in a desert environment.

Silver inlay is cuttlefish bone cast. Kiln fired.
