I live on a foliage rich barrier island off the coast of Georgia USA. Driving up and down the few roads (we only have 10 traffic lights), it seemed like someone was always working roadside;laying pipe, trimming trees, re-paving bike trails, etc.
As I thought about this I envisioned a painting that simplified objects and colored them in pastels and bright colors with the intent of making a "happy painting". The first in the series sold and is in the collection of Beverly Steffens. I enjoyed creating the first painting and decided to do a series. This is the second painting in that series.
It is signed on the front and reverse. The sides are painted.
