This painting is inspired by the Garth Stein novel, "the Art of Racing in the Rain". Previously, I had painted Indy race cars and scenes in my painting "Speedway at Nazareth" (which is on this website) and is more of a cubist work. This time I chose to make more of an impressionist statement using a palette knife with an impasto technique. The build up of paint and strokes are quite apparent. The choice of canvas size is intended to give a sense of panarama with the Formula 1 race cars charging through the rain.
The painting is finished on the sides and is signed on the reverse. Hanging materials are included.
