Lighthouse
'Lighthouse" is an abstracted landscape work in oil and cold wax on canvas. The preliminary geometry and beginning color notes were predetermined, but this painting is layer upon layer. The title comes from a lighthouse we saw while playing golf at the Harbortown SC golf course. The work takes cues from Richard Diebenkorn and Hans Hoffman. I hope the viewer sees the green grass and ocean and the light from the lighthouse. The sides are finished and hanging materials are included. The painting is signed on the reverse.
