Idle Time

Taken on a warm early fall day, this photo captures a serene moment I stumbled upon on my way to meet a friend for lunch. As I crossed the green, I noticed chairs set up for an event, and three people were either very early or lingering long after its conclusion. What struck me was their quiet presence—no phones out, not even speaking to one another. They simply sat, relaxed, and looked out over the green space.

This candid moment, devoid of the distractions of modern life, reminded me of the beauty in just being present. It’s a poignant reminder of the quiet moments that often go unnoticed but carry deep significance. As they looked out over the open space, they seemed to be collectively enjoying the simplicity of the day, embodying a sense of calm and reflection that resonated deeply with me.
