Molecular Orbits
"Molecular Orbits" is an oil and cold wax painting where the surface was scrapped into final form. The colors are interwoven and muted as is often the case with the cold wax medium. The circular shape mid-right emerged in the final phase of the painting. My son is an organic chemistry professor and the finished painting immediately named itself.
The sides are finished in black gesso and the painting is signed on the reverse. Hanging materials are included.
