Call For Entries: Art Inspired by Other Art

Throughout history some of the most remarkable works of art have been made in homage to the work of other artists. Painters and photographers have been inspired by other painters and photographers, by poets, by musicians. Paul Gaugin's Spirit of the Dead Walking, was inspired by Édouard Manet's Olympia, which was in turn inspired by Titian's Venus of Urbino. Sir John Everett Millais' Ophelia was inspired by Shakespeare's Hamlet.
