During the pandemic, I volunteered at a food bank in Oakland. I noticed the patience of people waiting in line and their need. This collage attempts to shed light on the needs of many for food and community, needs that were amplified by the stresses of the pandemic. Local architecture inspired the street scene in this piece. Masks litter the sky, adding to the surreality and dystopia of the time.
