Lady in a Turban
A modern day portrait in the style of Vermeer. I was very pleased with the way this painting turned out. The glazing with transparent paints on the turban went through many stages with the colour changing from green to orange before settling on the final colour. The dress was an elaborate curtain draped to create the necessary opulence.
