The artist shares: “In this culture of crisis, we realize pandemics are here to stay and will have a long-term impact on our lives.” Our behaviors change, and even the most ordinary of domestic circumstances are transformed. Even so, we dream of freedom, of the beauty of the outdoor world, unfettered by closures, quarantine, and isolation.” An innocent figure is masked, as are her mobile toys. The unfamiliar and familiar collide with one another expressing the strange state of humankind in this new and often frightening world.
