I start with a plastic ball ornament that I paint with gold leading glass paint and carefully apply glass paint within the leading lines. Embellishments are attached one at a time after the pint is dry. Since thereâs no stencil or fixed pattern that I use, each ornament varies slightly from one to the next. Glass ornaments can be substituted for plastic for an extra fee but I don't recommend it. I've got several cats and dogs and glass ornaments donât bounce very well across the hard wood floor, but a plastic one will, and go back on the tree like nothing ever happened. You're buying a hand crafted work of art, it should be able to last you a lifetime.
