I messed around with one of Louis Wain's cats for this print. Born in 1860, Wain was a prolific and very popular British artist. He often drew anthropomorphic cats. It is thought schizophrenia might have led to his somewhat psychedelic style which evolved long before hippie art appeared. He was an animal activist and head of the Governing Council of Dumb Friends. Part of his adult life was spent in mental intitutions. The limited edition print is available in different sizes on Artspan www.peterjketchum.com, and on a variety of things from in the KetchumArt Red Bubble shop.
