I am not an aficionado of chrysanthemums, but this one caught my eye with the play of sunlight on its red-tipped petals. Not enough to simply have petals, the blossom has four zones of visual activity: the dark center full of buds, the ring of curled petals around it, the red-tipped petals around that, and the large, long petals on the periphery. Each and every petal was unique. Colored pencil on vellum bristol. Available at Cheryl Watts Pottery and Gallery, 417 Cannery Row, Monterey, CA (831) 655-0303
