The discards of people’s lives have always fascinated me, especially photographic histories of their past. Someone somewhere thought enough to catalog their place in time. And now that time is gone. So I will happen upon a photograph of a face, a moment, a situation that catches my eye or tugs at my soul, or revives a memory of my own. I then base my artwork upon the lives of these people and places that were once here, but are now long gone.
