Louis Kronberg (sold through Ron Kronberg)
American Artist, 1922 to 2002 To avoid confusion, please note that there is another well known American watercolor artist named Louis Kronberg, that lived from 1872 - 1965. All information on this website refers to Louis Aaron Kronberg (1922- 2002) only. Louis lived in Houston Texas. He was mostly self taught but did take workshops with various famous artists brought in through the Houston Watercolor Society. He was one of the founding volunteers in the early days of the Houston Watercolor Society and remember him and Mamie Kronberg (his wife my mother) printing the Washrag newsletter on our mimiograh machine back in the late 70's. and doing the mailings. Louis was a Structural Engineer (Graduate of University of Houston), Ham Radio Operator W5IHY, business owner of Associated Builders Specialties, Inc dba Kronberg's Flags and Flagpoles, gourmet chowhound, raconteur, husband, father of 3, grandfather and well known local Houston Watercolorist. Louis served in the US Army Air Corps in the Pacific during WWII with the rank of Corporal. Some of the paintings have signatures, dates and comments and some are unsigned. Ronald Kronberg (son)
