Born a first generation American in Portland, Maine to loving parents who emigrated from Dublin, Ireland, Ben O'Connell Miley grew up with his brother John in the State of Maine enjoying its four seasons, playing sports and exploring the natural world. Ben's interests are wide and varied having absorbed cultures of over thirty-five countries on four continents, bringing a global perspective in his work. Miley graduated in 2008 from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design. He completed the WIT co-op programs working in Rivière-du-Loup, QC, Canada and Amsterdam, Netherlands, and supplemented his degree program with courses from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, MA, Emmanuel College in Boston, MA, as well as the University of Southern Maine in Portland, ME. In 2010, he graduated with an MBA from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University in New York, NY, and studied for a summer semester abroad in Berlin, Germany as part of that curriculum.
