Purple Shade

Purple Shade, A wonderful marriage piece of two trees. Enjoy the energy of the strokes in acrylic as the colors move on the canvas board. Coloration dominates in white, black ocher, purple, rust/orange, and traces of blue and green. I painted this on a canvas board mainly for class/ instruction purposes. Many times framing is difficult for painters and collectors. This is a triple primed canvas board, at one time the norm for most artists. Now we have the stretched canvases and very deep stretched canvases. With a canvas board the painting can be easily framed (without glass) when the rabbet of the frame choice is very small. The rabbet is the angle or depth area that holds the painting into the frame. Many frame choices have a very small rabbet, which eliminates that as a frame choice for paintings. By painting on canvas board many frames can be used. Original - SOLD Enjoy, Nancy
