My mindset in the process of creating this abstract piece is pertaining to the overall system of America. I thought about the income that jail and prisons make every year. The slaves were the reason behind the slave masters massive income. If were to go back to the beginning of slavery and to the end of slavery, how much money do you think the slaves provided for their slaves masters? How much money do you think they made from the cotton industry and selling slaves?
