I had an amazing experience in 2002 of visiting the world's largest breeding grounds for the Black-browed Albatross in the Falkland Islands. These lovely birds live to around 70 years old, mate for life, and travel thousands of miles over the oceans during their long lives. They have a wing span of 80 - 90 inches. I walked among hundreds of couples as they were sitting on their nests and saw several pairs courting each other with the hope of finding a life long mate.
Acrylics and oil sticks on canvas. Museum wrapped. Unframed, wired, ready to hang.
