L.J. Edginton The Art of Perception

A Watchful Eye

This is “Scooby”. I wanted to get a side profile shot of his bright blue eyes, but he turned his head right as I took the photo, as if to say - this is my better side. He is said to be a specific breed of Paint Horse due to his rare markings. He is mostly all white, except for a brown "Medicine Hat" on the top of his head. I was told that within some Native American cultures, only Shamans or Medicine Men were allowed to ride a horse with these markings. I think he knew he was a special horse and that he was a special part of our family. Omaha, NE. 2017
