Relief print, hand-pulled with oil-based ink, hand-colored with watercolor. Framed using archival materials and conservation glass, black wood frame, lilac blue mat.
The Three Sisters, corn, beans & squash, were also known as the Sacred Sisters. They were grown together, each providing nutrients the others needed, the beans twined around the corn stalks and the squash leaves kept the ground moist and free of weeds.
