Girl From The North Country (Blue Night)

I was commissioned to create an artwork to illustrate Bob Dylan’s song Girl From The North Country. I have created 4 versions so far using Botticelli’s famous Birth of Venus created in 1486. I have taken some liberties with depicting Venus here. The lyrics dictated various elements in the composition. Dylan has been a big source of inspiration to me in many ways.
