In its early days, the Seagull was often a stop over during a day of boating on Santa Rosa Sound. The beer was cold, the drinks were strong and the music was loud. Man around the world knew it only as "the Dirty Bird". Its history marched in time with its guests as they fought various wars in various places. From Korea to Vietnam to Panama to Iraq, whenever soldiers and airman gathered, talk of Eglin led to sharing thoughts of the Dirty Bird and safer times.
