Striking landscape painting based on a photo my brother took while traveling west. I love the vibrant contrast of the rock formations and how they play off the cool tones of the mountains and rushing waterfall. The people were added to give a sense of scale and immediacy. I painted this using the traditional glazing technique adapted for acrylics.
