Brooklyn to Freedom

Acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas, signed in the lower right corner. Hanging hardware is included.

As a longtime Brooklyn resident, this cityscape is deeply personal to me. For several years, I lived just a mile away from Brooklyn Bridge Park, and I frequently walked through the area, always struck by the powerful view of the bridge arching toward the Manhattan skyline.

In this painting, I wanted to capture the feeling of that walk—the way the historic, stone textures of the Brooklyn Bridge frame the modern rise of the Freedom Tower. I used my geometric and cubist-inspired style to deconstruct the cityscape into bold, architectural forms, emphasizing the strength of the structures that define New York. To me, this piece represents the journey from the familiar paths of my old neighborhood toward a symbol of resilience and freedom.

This original acrylic painting is currently available for sale through my Artspan gallery"
