Memories #2
An oil on canvas,"Memories #2" (and#1) tries to capture the fleeting beauty of the peony in full bloom. I used expressive marks of vibrant oil paint to depict the essence of one of my favorite flowers. Inspired by my present garden as well as a childhood garden memory, this painting is a heartfelt tribute to the peony. My mother also loved peonies, (who doesn't?) and this artwork serves as a reminder of her garden as well.
