Item number 320 is a mythological bird form made out of a lowfire white earthenware clay body. The piece is hand made hand built and is hand burnished. The item is hand painted free hand using black and brown underglazes, electric kiln fired with nails. The bird form represents the mythology of animals as in relation to the Navajo origin story, birds also represents messengers to the spirits and deities. The clay symbolizes the natural world purity of mother earth and the nails represent industrialization.
