I continue to observe nature and human interactions. In studying the properties and details of rust from a decaying old metal can, I found the hole as interesting as the container. The image of what would fill the empty space came later while in the studio. Humans and the natural world are interconnected, and when our familiar life is disrupted, it is disconcerting.
