Cartwright, a life-long artist and geoscientist, creates paintings that reflect her passions and interests in music, science, gardening, and sailing. Her works appear in hundreds of private, corporate, and institutional collections as well as a special exhibition at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. and seven museums in China. Additionally, her works appear in numerous publications. Cartwright began painting before kindergarten and received formal training at Linden Hall School, Kutztown University, Maryland Institute College of Art, and The College of Charleston. Now in her seventieth year of life, Cartwright sees now end to her life-long desire to create two-dimensional art.
