Maggie is a Birmingham UK artist using contemporary painting approaches and experimental methods in watercolour, oils and other media. Maggie Leaver includes impressions and observations of the human story in her work alongside impressionist semi-abstract and abstract watercolour and oil painting work. Colour and natural form are a powerful influence in Maggie’s work as is an array of impressionist, abstract and social comment artists. After several years of developing her art practice, Maggie now exhibits and sells her original work and limited edition prints regularly with a number of her paintings selected for RBSA national exhibitions. Exhibitions include work in the recent ‘Human Story’ exhibition by ORT Gallery, ‘Extraordinary’ at The Arches Project, The Artists Workhouse, RBSA, Birmingham Open Studios, Core Collective Artists, Solihull Art Gallery, Winterbourne Gallery, Mac Open Project and Hall Green Art. She also has a stall every couple of months at MAC Birmingham Art Market and previously Moseley Arts Market selling limited edition prints and cards of her work.
