I started oil painting when I was 10. As a lifelong backpacker, I used to carry heavy art gear out into the Wild
It was a disappointment to no longer be able to do this due to a neck injury. I decided to get a van and explore places that way. I thought about why I paint- which is to try to help conserve the environment through showing how it can be peaceful and relaxing for people when they appreciate nature Painting using my iPad provided a much lighter option for plein air painting and I realized that the program I was using kept a record of all of my brushstrokes.
