Mary Lin Watanabe
My name is Mary Lin Watanabe and my goal as a visual artist is to create sensual and expressive images that connect with humanity. It is my intention to illuminate conventional subjects to extraordinary imagery through unique perspective and composition. It is my hope to share with viewers and patrons the beauty of my expression through nature. I received my fine art degree from CSUN, specializing in studio art of oil painting. My thesis portfolio revolved around a series of street lights, many of which were found in Porter Ranch landscapes. Academically, I’m an educational docent at Getty Center and an art instructor at Pierce College. After receiving my degree, I knew I wanted to help share the joy I experienced when painting with the world. That's when the idea of creating an exciting paint and sip experience popped into my mind. In 2014, I started my first creative business, Eat Drink Arts. I'm so grateful to be able to share my passion for art with my clients in a fun and exciting setting. It's no secret that these paint and sip events are a wonderful time to express yourself creatively and to try something new. But my take on this time-tested tradition is to provide my clients with more creativity and expression.
