Debra van Hulsteyn is a painter who is based in Northern California. She has a BA and MA from California State University, Sacramento and a MFA from Trans Art Institute. Her earlier focus was on large landscape based ornamental imagery. For the past ten years she has focused on painting from life on a more intimate scale, particularly plein air work.
